Research Ethics at Prof. Ravindra Nikam College of Pharmacy

Prof. Ravindra Nikam College of Pharmacy is committed to upholding the quality, integrity, and independence of research. The responsibility for ensuring ethical research practices lies with both the management and individual researchers, including undergraduate students and faculty members. The institute fosters an environment that encourages the conduct of high-quality research, emphasizing truthful reporting. The research ecosystem at PRNCOP embodies values such as honesty, integrity, reliability, and accountability in all research endeavors.

The institute strictly adheres to the four basic principles of research ethics established by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). These principles include autonomy (respect for persons), beneficence (to do good), non-maleficence (to do no harm), and justice (concept of fairness irrespective of caste, creed, region, or religion). These principles serve as the foundation for safeguarding the dignity, rights, safety, and well-being of research participants, as well as for maintaining the overall integrity of research activities.

These tools serve as a mechanism to ensure that documents, including theses, dissertations, reports, publications, or any other submissions, are free of plagiarism at the time of their submission. This proactive approach underscores the commitment to originality and intellectual honesty in all academic and research pursuits.
