Policy and Process

“PLACEMENT IS NOT GIVEN; IT HAS TO BE EARNED”

  1. Placement Eligibility and Registration: Placement opportunities are available for all students at Prof. Ravindra Nikam College of Pharmacy (PRNCOP). Registration is required. Students not seeking industry jobs due to further studies should refrain from registering and must inform the placement cell in writing. Students with more than one course backlog should not register until they clear their backlogs.
  2. Eligibility Criteria: Students must verify their eligibility before applying to companies. Eligibility criteria and related information are posted on PRNCOP groups with updates.
  3. Information and Announcements: It is the student’s responsibility to stay updated with announcements, notices, and other relevant information on notice boards. Punctuality for all placement-related activities is expected.
  4. Registration Limit: Students can register for multiple placement drives without any restriction.
  5. One Student One Job Policy: Once a student secures a job offer, they will be deregistered from further placement drives.
  6. Special Requirements: For companies seeking candidates with specific academic achievements (e.g., top 5% or 20%), only eligible registered students will be considered.
  7. Attendance and Withdrawal: Students who register but do not attend the recruitment process will be barred from the next two drives. The same applies to those who miss the Pre-Placement Talk. Withdrawals must be submitted in advance, as per the stipulated time, to avoid absenteeism.
  8. Process Continuation: Students who clear initial exams but do not attend subsequent rounds without a valid reason will be barred from all future drives.
  9. Waitlist Policy: Students with waiting list offers can continue to participate in other placement drives until they secure a job.
  10. Conduct and Discipline: Maintaining discipline and decorum throughout the placement process is mandatory. Violations will result in disqualification from future drives.
  11. Cheating and Misbehavior: Any form of cheating or misconduct during the selection process will lead to debarment from subsequent placement activities.
  12. Internship and Placement: Unplaced students interning at a company can still apply for on-campus drives, subject to the company’s discretion.
  13. Offer Acceptance: Students must carefully review company details and offers before applying. Rejecting offers without a valid reason after selection will lead to deregistration from future drives.
  14. Communication Protocol: Direct contact with company representatives by students is prohibited. Issues must be addressed through the Placement cell.
  15. Offer Letter Responsibility: Students are responsible for reviewing and acting on offer letters. Direct offers from companies must be reported to the Placement cell.
  16. Offer Declination: Students wishing to decline an offer due to higher studies must inform both the Placement Office and the company. Compliance with any agreements or bonds is required.
  17. Medical Tests: Selected students are expected to pass any required medical tests. Rejections at this stage will renew the student’s registration, making them eligible for other placements within the same session.
  18. Policy Amendments: The Training and Placement cell reserves the right to modify these rules and is the final authority on placement-related decisions. Grievances should be reported to the Placement cell for resolution.
